Hi, I was hoping to start automatically sending out an invoice by email on dispatch within PP and already have an invoice layout that has been perfected over the years, is it possible to copy this to use as an email template?

Hope you get a reply it would be helpful to me aswell

Unfortunately it isn't. Email templates are extremely simple, they do not support the complexity of printed layouts.
Edit: Although maybe I can see a way to add them as attachments, I'll have a look.

Thank you, the attachment route might be better actually.

Attaching the invoice as a PDF would be perfect, then we can use an email template thanking for their purchase and attaching the invoice with a nicely laid out invoice. :-)

I will look at this for the next major release, in principle, it should be possible to implement.

Are there any updates on this?
We receive for about 5-15 invoice requests per day due to our sales volume. So spending more than 30 minutes to create invoices. I've tried to use quick link from order page Send Tax Invoice but it's only send invoice body and not an attachment. So usually have to resend as PDF attachment after repeated requests. New feature "Send invoice as attachment" will be much appreciated.

No code has yet been written, but I have been looking into the feasibility and ways to achieve this.

Hi Andrew, any updates on this, do you think it will be possible?

Not done anything on this yet, the problem is the time that it takes to create PDF files.
The solution we have advised others, is to print a standard invoice to PDF and email manually.
